Lachen Manilakhang (1858 A.D)
Lachen Manilakhang is located in the vicinity of Lachen Gonpa , North Sikkim. It is said to have been founded in 1858 A.D, by the area public to offer Mani prayers. Earlier, it was only a wooden structure and later a Lama from Tibet named Sungrab Gyatso stayed in this Manilhakhang for some years and completely renovated to its present shape. There is a big Mani wheel beside the Altar and two at the entrance.
This Manilhakhang presently has 37 Nyamos. The Altar contains Cho-Long-Trul-sum Statues.
