Doling Manilakhang (1921 A.D)
The Doling Manilakhang is located in the premises of Doling Gonpa , South Sikkim. It was constructed by the initiative of Ani Sedon the mother of present Doling Head Lama in 1921 with tin sheeted roof for Nyamos to offer Mani prayers. She also installed three big Mani wheels in this Manilhakhang with the fund contributed by some well wishers. These Mani wheels can still to be seen there.
Later, the tin sheet roof was replaced with GCI sheets and simultaneously the structure was also renovated. It has an old wooden Altar containing small statues of Cho-Long-Trul-sum and some portraits of different deities. The west side wall of the Manilhakhang bears the carved images of Jampalyang, Chagna Dorje and an image of Lama Dorje lingpa on the stone plates. They are flanked by a foot imprint and a shoe imprint of Lama Dorjelingpa. It presently has 08 Nyamos and one Ponlob Lama to guide the Nyamos.
